The Legacy of the District Authorities and Magistrates in Austria – Institutions facilitating Inequality, Human Rights Violations and Bureaucratic Despotism in the Republic of Austria

€ 19,99

This evidence-based study explores the Magistrates and District Authorities in the Republic of Austria. Quite powerful institutions, the District Authorities and Magistrates in Austria are shielded by the two main political parties in Austria – the far-right ÖVP Party and the backward SPÖ Party – these parties having the power to cancel and cut vitally important social security funds at their digression; jointly in collaboration with the Public Employment Service in Austria (AMS) – by propagating slave labor, victimization and bureaucratic despotism. Consequently, Austria has fallen back seven places on the Social Progress Index (SPI); inequality and social discrimination of people increasing in Austria dramatically – politicians and bureaucrats unwilling to advocate the implementation of a Basic Income Guarantee (BIG); which would be necessary to guarantee basic human rights and to counteract inequality and poverty in the International Community. In a world where there are no guarantees and as citizens who must be under government rule, we should at least be assured that we will be able to feed, clothe and handle the simplest needs of human beings – hence implementing a basic income in the international community is an important prerequisite to ensure basic human rights. Also, the district authorities in Austria - such as the district of Neunkirchen in the state of Lower Austria - are responsible for the facilitation of Neo-Nazi activities to a certain extent; by propagating bureaucratic despotism, authoritarianism, lack of empathy and unquestioning loyalty to figures in authority. These were also the evil trademarks of the Nazi Party in Austria during the Third Reich, and the reason why National Socialism festered in Austria in the first place. It should also be noted, that even amid the COVID-19 crisis, politicians and bureaucrats in charge of the district of Neunkirchen - in the state of Lower Austria - refused to provide basic health insurance to Austrian citizens in the region; who really were in need of basic health care during the COVID‑19 crisis. It must also be emphasized, that due to the coronavirus crisis and globalization - in particular increasing inequality, deindustrialisation and structural unemployment - it is imperative that lawmakers in Austria finally make an effort to guarantee fundamental human rights in Austria, by implementing a Basic Income Guarantee Law; as stipulated by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
