Then Lona makes Sheridan an offer... to kill her lover and run away with her.

With its themes of surveillance and obsession prefiguring Novak’s role in Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, Pushover is a triumph of suspense, and an acknowledged influence on Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless. "
