Het nummer "Night Shift" is de eerste single voorafgaand aan de release van Lucy Dacus' Historian. Beluister hier de meeslepende single Night Shift. Lucy Dacus, geboren en getogen in Richmond, Virginia, en haar band hebben het album in maart dit jaar in Nashville opgenomen. Opnieuw ging Lucy Dacus de samenwerking aan met producer Collin Pastor en enkele maanden later is alle nieuwe muziek gemixt door John Congleton (Future Islands, Alvvays, St. Vincent). Het nieuwe werk van Dacus is uitgesponnen en verhalend, soms ingetogen, altijd dynamisch en rocky. *"It starts out dark and ends hopeful, but it gets darker in between; it goes to the deepest, darkest, place and then breaks," she explains.
