Guitar Hero: Van Halen staat volledig in het teken van de band Van Halen. Naast Eddie, Wolfgang en Alex Van Halen is het vierde bandlid zanger David Lee Roth. In de game kun je allerlei muzikale hoogtepunten uit de carrière van Van Halen naspelen op de diverse instrumenten.
