In 2009 bestaat Blue Note Records 70 jaar. Ter ere van dit jubileum verschijnt in januari Mosaic: A Celebration of Blue Note Records. Op de cd staan acht Blue Note-klassiekers ingespeeld door The Blue Note 7. Dit all-star septet bestaat uit pianist en musical director Bill Charlap, Nicholas Payton op trompet, Ravi Coltrane op tenorsax, Steve Wilson op altsax en fluit, gitarist Peter Bernstein, bassist Peter Washington en Lewis Nash op drums.
