Die neue Zeitschrift 91 Degrees versteht sich als Crossover-Magazin fur die knapp bemessene Freizeit von Architekten jenseits von Buro und Baustelle. Sie ist mehr als eine Architekturzeitschrift und greift deshalb unter einem thematischen Schwerpunkt jeweils eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Aspekten auf: Die Artikel befassen sich mit Kunst, Literatur und Reisen ebenso wie mit Technik, Forschung und Fotografie oder mit Wohnen, Mode und Sport. 91 Degrees bietet, wie es der Untertitel des Magazins zu Recht betont, more than architecture . Auch Heft 2 widmet sich einem ubergreifenden Thema: Farbe. In den verschiedenen Rubriken des Magazins wird es in seinen vielfaltigen Facetten umfassend beleuchtet. So wird etwa das japanische Architekturburo SANAA im Interview vors Mikroskop gebeten - mit seinem Wiedererkennungsmerkmal: der Farbe Weiss. Tobias Moorstedt gibt aufschlussreiche Einblicke in die Herstellung von farbigem Faserzement, und die Fotografen Meinhard Hofer und Josef Gottwald (ONEYE) rucken mit ihren Fotografien die albanische Hauptstadt Tirana in den Blick, die als eine der buntesten Stadte Europas gilt. The new periodical 91 Degrees is a crossover magazine aimed at architects during their limited free time away from the office and construction site. More than an architecture magazine, it chooses a single thematic focus for each of its issues and then takes up a broad and varied array of different aspects within it. Its articles deal with literature, art, and travel; technology, photography, and research; as well as house and home, fashion, and sports. As its subtitle rightly emphasizes, 91 Degrees offers its readers more than architecture. Issue #2 is no exception - it deals with the broad subject of color. The various sections of the magazine illuminate color in its many different facets. The interview places the Japanese architecture firm SANAA under the microscope - together with its hallmark, the color white. Tobias Moorstedt offers an informative look at the production of colored fiber cement, and the photographs of Meinhard Hofer and Josef Gottwald (ONEYE) bring into view the Albanian capital Tirana, widely regarded as one of Europe's most colorful cities.
